Steam Age Watch

If you think that I haven't posted a piece up in a while, you'd be right! Here's why!

This is a watch that I've executed to look like an artifact from the steam age (mid 1800s to the early 1900s). It comes from the era where aesthetics were just as important as overall functionality.

This piece was drawn in CAD and then executed by hand with extreme attention to detail right down to the teeth on the gears. This is definitely a tribute to the tradesman and artisans of old!

The watch keeps perfect time too!

Materials:
-Brass sheet & screws
-Copper sheet & tubing
-Nickel Silver sheet
-Titanium wire
-Brass pin
-Gold plated 19 jewel wind up Watch Movement
-Acrylic and Mineral glass watch crystals
-Brass Crown with Inset Black Stone
